YEARS OF ACTIVITY
YEARS Chemco Trade is a Romanian company, founded in 1997 by Chemical Engineer Adrian Roșca.
The company started the activity 25 years ago as an exclusive representative of British company Imperial Chemical Industry distributing highest quality titanium dioxide into painting industry as well as other industries as plastics and rubbers.
In 1999 ICI (Imperial Chemical Industry) is selling Tioxide division to the american company Huntsman. Over the next 15 years Chemco Trade represents in Romania Huntsman Tioxide, becoming one of the most important titanium dioxide distributor in Romania and the Republic of Moldavia, with more than 4500 tons sold annually.
Tot în anul 1999 incepe colaborarea cu divizia Elementis Specialties, producator global de aditivi, parte a grupului Elementis. Urmeaza extinderea portofolizlui, în domeniul acoperirilor metalice cu produsele firmei Elementis Chromium.
From our desire to bring in Romania the newest technology and improve the quality of the paints and plastics produced in Romania, Chemco Trade turns from the exclusive representative of a multinational company into active agent and distributor in Romania as well as in the neighboring countries like Moldavia or Bulgaria, expanding year after year the product portfolio covering complete solutions: pigments, additives, extenders, fillers, UV absorbers, resins for both water based paints and solvents.
In 2000, together with the most important Romanian producers at that time, Chemco Trade helps starting Paint Industry Association in Romania with the purpose of representing the best interests of the Romanian producers and to keep permanent contact with European Forums in order to harmonize the Romanian legislation with the European as well as attracting investments in the paint industry.
AIVR became a member of CEPE (Conseil Europeen de L'industries de Peintures, Des Encres D'Imprimerie et Des Couleurs D'Art) in September 2000, receiving all European legislation for paint production and environmental protection.
Starting with 2001, after selling the first twin-screw extruders produces by company APV Baker for the production of powder paints, Chemco brings to Romania the first dosing and mixing machines from Fast & Fluid Management from the Netherlands - part of the IDEX Corporation group from USA, the world's largest manufacturer of equipment of this kind, as well as laboratory equipment from the British company Sheen Instruments (currently TQC Sheen - part of Industrial Physics).
Chemco’s annual turnover reaches a peak in 2007 at 5 mil EUR but the changes brought by the globalization greatly influence the company’s development.
The year 2009, together with the effects of the economical crisis of 2008, brings new modifications to the business structure, the company focusing on new industries: Automotive, Pharma Industry, Cosmetic Industry and Jewelry.
The company is ISO9001 certified – Quality Management System - in 2017 and is recertified in 2020 according to ISO 9001:2015 by the Tüv Thüringen certification, being compatible with other management systems such as ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System – and ISO45001 – Occupational health and safety management system.
Presently, after 25 years of activity, Chemco is recognized for the seriousness and quality of the services offered, being a reliable partner for both its customers and its suppliers, thus facing a very strong international competitor.
The company's permanent concern to bring the newest raw materials and technologies, year after year, as well as "state of the art" equipment and installations with maximum efficiency and minimum energy consumption, represents our main objective during this period.
With the celebration of 25 years of activity in 2022, Chemco Trade is launching a new, dynamic and modern web presentation platform, through which we introduce to Romanian customers the wide range of products, equipment and services that it offers to companies from Romania.
